Note re: 2/21 event: Indivisible’s regular Hingham standout will go forward tomorrow, but PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
Some hardy souls will be standing out to support democracy from 10:30 to 11:30 as scheduled tomorrow on Route 3A in Hingham at the bandstand area.

But please consider the pros and cons before attending!

Pros:
Sidewalk is largely cleared at the moment
You really do get brownie points for being out in bad weather
“If the folks in Minneapolis can do this, so can we”

Cons:

There will be some shoveling needed to gain access from the boat ramp parking lot (eastern lot)
THERE IS NO ACCESS FROM THE BATHING BEACH LOT (western lot)
There will be active rain/snow at standout time, amount of accumulation unclear – could be 1″, could be 4″
Traffic and visibility will be low due to the storm

RECOMMENDATION:

If you are up for it, go for it!!! …. but please consider all the conditions when deciding

Please consider skipping this standout if you have mobility or balance issues!

Use common sense, dress for the weather, be aware of slipping issues on the sidewalk.
