DESCRIPTION:Join us every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month. Bring signs and friends as we rally in support of democracy\, dignity and community! \nNote re: 2/21 event: Indivisible’s regular Hingham standout will go forward tomorrow\, but PROCEED WITH CAUTION!\nSome hardy souls will be standing out to support democracy from 10:30 to 11:30 as scheduled tomorrow on Route 3A in Hingham at the bandstand area. \nBut please consider the pros and cons before attending! \nPros:\nSidewalk is largely cleared at the moment\nYou really do get brownie points for being out in bad weather\n“If the folks in Minneapolis can do this\, so can we” \nCons: \nThere will be some shoveling needed to gain access from the boat ramp parking lot (eastern lot)\nTHERE IS NO ACCESS FROM THE BATHING BEACH LOT (western lot)\nThere will be active rain/snow at standout time\, amount of accumulation unclear – could be 1″\, could be 4″\nTraffic and visibility will be low due to the storm \nRECOMMENDATION: \nIf you are up for it\, go for it!!! …. but please consider all the conditions when deciding \nPlease consider skipping this standout if you have mobility or balance issues! \nUse common sense\, dress for the weather\, be aware of slipping issues on the sidewalk. \nA core principle behind all No Kings events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind\, including those legally permitted\, should not be brought to events.
