DESCRIPTION:We’re road-tripping to save democracy friends! \nJoin us for a Ground Truth “deep” canvass—designed to help Democrats rebuild trust and win back power in the Midterms and beyond. They’re launching an innovative new program that will revolutionize how we connect with voters and potential voters at their doors.  We’ve chosen to travel to Tarrytown\, NY in NY-17 because it is a district that Swing Left has determined is critical to taking back the House this fall. \nRegister here  ***THEN please email info@indivisiblehinghamhull.org if you have questions or need help with logistics (we will not be reaching out to Mobilize registrants about travel and hotel accommodations as we are hopeful some of those folks will be local anyway). *** \nAt this canvass\, we’ll: \n\nKnock on every door in the neighborhood\, not just the same voters campaigns usually talk to.\nHave real conversations that listen deeply to voters’ concerns.\nGather rich insights for campaigns\, so they can be responsive to voters’ needs and smarter with their messaging\, targeting\, and outreach.\n\nDon’t worry if it’s your first time canvassing—training\, materials\, and support are all provided. Just bring comfortable shoes\, a charged phone\, and your passion for making a difference. Cost is approximately $250 for a hotel room (less if you double up) plus meals. We will drive down late Friday afternoon\, knock from 10:30am-1:30pm on Saturday\, and then drive back to the South shore Saturday afternoon. \nSome of us plan to use the learning we gather on a subsequent trip to Tarrytown with the South Shore Democratic Caucus on October 30-November 1 to knock doors for Cait Conley\, the Democratic Nominee for U.S. Representative. Lightworkers weaves together individuals’ stories through themes of civic engagement\, social responsibility and individual agency to create a portrait of individual power and community — and a sense of hope that\, together\, we can do anything. \nDoors open at 5:00 pm.
